He was predeceased by: his parents, Jake M. Bruton and Opal P. Hill Bruton; his son Jefferson Grant Bruton; and his sisters, Trema Jessup and Roxie Boykin.

He is survived by: his wife Patricia Bruton; his children, Jake Bruton, Daniel Bruton, Jaegen Bruton, Corrina Hardman and Jotie Orquiz; and his siblings, Jake Bruton, Barbara Parrish and Jutie White. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
