He was predeceased by: his father Dionicio "Sonny" Romero; and his brother Alex Romero. He is survived by: his mother Mary Ellen Romero; his son Joseph Romero; his daughter-in-law Christie Romero; his grandchildren, Anthony, Alexis, Yannick, Alissa, Enos, Alexander and Aiden; his great grandchild Roselynn; and his siblings, Alfred, Billy, Noel, Milton, Viola Garcia, Erica Taylor, Desna Wolf and Maxine Romero (Liz Bernard).
