He was predeceased by: his wife Theodora Valencia Nanez; his children, Velia Sena and Ruben Nanez; and his parents, Santiago Nanez and Manuela Nanez.
He is survived by: his daughter Irene N. Mora; his son-in-law Jose Luis Mora; his daughter Helen Hottman; and his daughter-in-law Annette Nanez. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and six siblings.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Funeraria Del Angel Hillcrest West (5054 Doniphan Dr, El Paso, TX 79932). A rosary was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Anthony's Catholic Church (324 Lincoln St, Anthony, NM 88021). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at the Anthony Catholic Cemetery.
