She was predeceased by: her parents, Jose Arsenio "Archie" Romero and Josie Whittington Romero; and her brother Archie Romero. She is survived by: her siblings, Annette Nigh, Bernadette Baca, Leroy Romero (Berlinda), Alfred Romero, Filo Mena Lopez (Ralph), Kathy Wujick, Elizabeth Suazo, Gus Romero, Julius Romero and Sylvia Herrera (Daniel). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and Godchildren.
In lieu of flowers, t o celebrate the life of Zoila Matamorez, the family suggests sending memorial donations to the University of New Mexico's Comprehensive Cancer Center's General Support Fund.
