He was predeceased by: his parents, Nathaniel Lewis Greene and Ruth Ann Bradley Greene; and his siblings, Nathaniel, Steven Greene and Lorraine Greene.
He is survived by: his sisters, Carolyn McKinney, Diane Thomas, Natalie Samuel and Valerie Greene; and his children, Angela Harvey, Walter Greene Jr. and Steven Greene. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, nineteen nieces and nephews, and several great nieces and nephews.
