It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Velma Sierra of Albuquerque, New Mexico, born in Belen, New Mexico, who passed away on December 23, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Herman Marquez and Adelina Marquez; her children, Charles Sierra (Yati), Matthew Sierra (Tasha) and Germaine Sierra-Lopez (Alfonso); her grandchildren, Vanessa, Isaac, Matthew Jr., Jade (Oscar), Estevan (Michelle) and Julian; her great grandchildren, Estevan Jr., Elijah, Sofia, Oscar Jr. and Valentina; her siblings, Elmer Marquez and Marcella Gabaldon (Joe); her husband Fred; and her grandson Jude. She was also cherished by several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
