He is survived by: his wife Magdalena Rodriguez of Acosta; his children, Erika Rivera (Rene), Alvaro Acosta and Christina Acosta; and his siblings, Josephina, Antonia, Jesus, Jorge and Concha. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, one great-grandchild.
