We bid farewell to Tarik Bashir (Albuquerque, New Mexico), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 1, 2025 at the age of 51. Tarik touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his father Fadil Bashir; his brothers, Karim and Cecil R. Williams, III; his great-niece Briella Bashir; and his grandparents, Lillie Mae Coleman Davis, Bennie Coleman, Cecil Williams and Edna Williams.
He is survived by: his mother Sakeenah Bashir; his siblings, Sultan (Laura), Ephraim, Seifullah (Courtney) and Fadeelah Bashir; and his nieces and nephews, Anilah, Tyisha, T'shara, Jacoby, Rashaun, Danique, Jareese, Uziah, Levi, Darian, Lashaun, Teasi, Aja and Yamina. He is also survived by two great nieces six great nephews and numerous extended family including aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 6:00 AM to 7:00 AM at the Strong Thorne Mortuary (1100 Coal Ave SE, Albuquerque, NM 87106). A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM at the Metro Church (4800 Lomas Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110).
