She is survived by: her sons, Diego Cortez, Marcos Cortez and Ivan Cortez (Ancelma) of Corrales, NM; her mother Mildred V. Atencio of Cuba, NM; her brother Fred Atencio (Regina Atencio) of Albuquerque, NM; her niece Dr. Adrienne Atencio of Sacramento, CA; her nephew Eric Atencio of Denver, CO; her parents-in-law, Manuel Bazan of Anthony, NM and Josie Bazan of Anthony, NM; her siblings-in-law, Lorenzo Cortez (Lisa Cortez) of San Antonio, TX, Roberta Pereira (Leo) of Waldorf, MD, Michael Cortez (Martha) of Arlington, TX, Amanda Chingaloni (Christian) of La Plata, MD and Julie Salcido (Joseph) of Las Cruces, NM; her grandson Ivan Cortez Jr.; her father Felix J. Atencio Jr. of Cuba, NM; and her husband Hector Cortez. She is also survived by her family and friends.
