He is survived by: his wife Armida Moreno Hernandez; his children, Aaron Zavala Nunez, Rudolph Jackson, Joshua Jackson (Monica), Soledad Zavala and Concepcion Hernandez; his granddaughters, Tabitha Zavala and Zaphira Zavala; and his siblings, Roberto Mendez, Martin Mendez, Eudocia Mendez Huerta, Guadalupe Mendez and Maria Mendez. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren.
