He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Lucero and Rebecca Lucero (Gurule); and his siblings, Mary Katherine Lucero, Julian Lucero (Berna), Meraldo Lucero and Isidro Lucero (Patricia).

He is survived by: his wife Mary Pauline Lucero; his daughters, Naomi Herrera (Daniel) and Rosanna Lucero; his brother Clyde Lucero (Margo); his sister-in-law Lucy Lucero; and his grandchildren, Daniel and Adeline Herrera. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
