He was predeceased by: his parents, David Vargas and Mary Vargas; his brothers, Sonny, Tony and Michael; his nephews, Lawrence Charles and Shawn; and his niece Monica.

He is survived by: his former wife Dottie Vargas; his children, Jenny (Lorenzo), Joey (Heidi), Brian (Jean), Elizabeth (David) and Stacey; his grandchildren, Gabriel, Analicia, Diego, Isabella, Wyatt, Mason, Adrian, Landon and Julian; his siblings, Patsy, Debbie, Rita, Marty (Cara) and Lawrence (Terry); and his friends, Sal, Ester Baca and Art Reust. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family.
