She was predeceased by: her parents, Juan Blas and Gregorita Flores (Salas); her husband William "Bill" Mata; and her siblings, Manny Flores, Helen Flores, Marcia Romine and Margaret Storey.

She is survived by: her sisters, Sally Chavez (Dennis Chavez), Connie Griego (Nick Griego) and Kathy Silva; her sons, William "Billy" Mata and Edward "Ed" Mata (Sharon Mata); her grandchildren, Eddie Mata, Valerie Mata and Analysa Mata; and her great grandchildren, Abby Mata, Thaddeus Mata and Makayla Mata. She is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
