She is survived by: her husband Alfred Chavez; her children, Ida Garcia, Theresa Mendoza (Wilfred), Richard Chavez (Raymie) and MaryJane Chavez (David); her sisters, Mary Gutierrez and Dorothy Garcia; and her stepchildren, Betty Chavez, Alfred Chavez Jr. William Chavez and Lorraine Sanchez. She is also survived by six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
