Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Ramona Atencio of Albuquerque, New Mexico, born in Canjilon, New Mexico, who passed away at the age of 97, on December 21, 2022. She was predeceased by: her son Steve Atencio; her parents, Cristobal Martinez and Ascencion Martinez; and her siblings, Adela Trujillo, Tevano Martinez, Olojia Abeyta, Mabel Velasquez, Cordelia Williams, Clyde Martinez and Willie Martinez.
She is survived by: her sister Magdalena Chavez; her children, Rebecca Crespin-Ortega (Julian), Joseph Esquibel (Ida), Bonnie Borrego (Ben), Liz Lawrence (John Horton), Christine Stout (Tim), Cathy Sanchez, Bobbi Johnson (Ladd), Jake Atencio (Kathy) and Michelle Atencio (Leonard Duran); and her great grandchild Chad Crespin. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
