It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rafaelita Perez of Albuquerque, New Mexico, born in Torreon, New Mexico, who passed away on February 22, 2022, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Macario Gabaldon and Salome Gabaldon; her husband Orlando Perez; her brothers, Cecil Gabaldon and Guadalupe Montoya (Martha); and her sister-in-law Viola Perez.
She is survived by: her children, Jeanette (Antonio Sanchez) and Joseph (Anita Perez); her grandchildren, Annette (Daniel Munoz), Stephanie Salazar (Marty Garcia), Michael Sanchez, Matthew Sanchez and Ernesto Salazar (Carmelita Padilla); her great grandchildren, Vicente Salazar, Lorenzo Salazar, Ernesto Salazar, Cameron Garcia, Daija Munoz, Natalya Munoz and Isaac Salazar; her sister-in-law Bernice Gabaldon; her son Cecil Gabaldon; her grandson Macario Gabaldon; and her children, Arianna Gabaldon (Ida Perez), Mary Ellen Perez and Anthony Perez. She is also survived by her family and helped raise her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
