He was predeceased by: his parents, Eduardo D. Salas and Veronica C. Salas; his brother Pete Salas; his brother-in-law Leeroy Montoya; and his son Paul J. Salas.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Salas; his daughters, Megan Garcia (Jeremy), Lisa Peters (Bob) and Cheryl Franzen; and his sisters, Andrea Blea (Tony) and Veronica Montoya. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, one great-granddaughter and a great-grandson.
