It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melissa Alvarez (Albuquerque, New Mexico), who passed away on May 6, 2022, at the age of 49, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She is survived by: her sons, Alec Candelaria (Mariah Duran) and Trey Pope; her parents, Frank Valtierra and Ilene Valtierra; her siblings, Damon Alvarez (Zoe Ann) and Crissy Baca; and her nieces and nephews, Damon Alvarez (Kaella), Jacob Pacilli (Rachel), Tina Baca (Phil Heller) and Aubri Navarrette (Hunter). She is also survived by great nieces, nephews and numerous cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to your local animal shelter or animal rescue as service to animals was the essence of who Melissa was.
