He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Eligio Tafoya and Amalia Tafoya; his wife Sally Gallegos Tafoya; his children, Max Tafoya (Barbara), Nick Tafoya (Magdalena), Liz Correa (Juan), Jerry Castillo (Mary), Teresa Castillo, Andrew Castillo (Andrea), Chris Tafoya (Maria) and Thomas Tafoya (Carolyn); and his siblings, Ignacio Tafoya, Ross Tafoya (Nela) and Mela Tafoya. He was also cherished by many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
