She was predeceased by: her husband Edward S. Ortega; her parents, Felix Salas and Maria Salas; and her siblings, Stella Picor, Emma Salas, Mario Salas and Maximo Salas.

She is survived by: her sons, Robert Ortega (Jacinta), Carlos Ortega (Elizabeth) and Ralph Ortega (Lucy); and her siblings, Carmen Bentley, Margaret Enriquez (Tomas), Sandra, Ramiro Salas (Petra), Jesus Salas (Verta) and Pepe Salas (Lorraine). She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
