With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lionel Montoya of Albuquerque, New Mexico, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 9, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dolores Montoya and John Montoya; and his brother Gary Montoya. He is survived by: his wife Ramona Montoya; his mother-in-law Dorothy Flores; his siblings, Maria Flores-Garcia, Julian Flores (John Nooney) and Fabian Flores (Barbara); his nieces, Teresa Chavez (Al) and Katharina Flores; and his nephew Herman Garcia. He is also survived by seven great nieces and nephews; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and loving friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 18th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM at the St. Jude of Thaddeus Catholic Church (5712 Paradise Blvd NW, Albuquerque, NM 87114). A rosary was held on Friday, October 18th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM at the same location. A Mass was held on Friday, October 18th 2024 from 10:15 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, October 18th 2024 at the Mount Calvary Cemetery (1900 Edith Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87102).
