She was predeceased by: her husband John Platero; and her daughter Marjorie Abeyta. She is survived by: her children, Shirley King (Fred), John R. Platero (Sara), Rosella Villalobos (Abraham), Lance Platero (Adeline), Peter Platero (Althea), Gilbert Platero, Yolanda, Dean Platero, Julia Platero and Gabby Platero. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren.
