She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecilio Muniz and Lupe Muniz; and her son Enrique Ortega. She is survived by: her children, Marcial Ortega (Rachel), Roy Muniz, Julio Ortega (Jennifer) and Fermin Ortega (Carla); and her siblings, James Muniz (Margie) and Orlinda Lucero (Pat). She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
