She was predeceased by: her son Jamie Strong; her granddaughter Stacy Webb; and her great grandchild Tyler Otero. She is survived by: her former husbands, Walter Webb and Jim Strong; her children, Karen Foster, Bruce Webb and Linda Hartsock; her grandchildren, Heather Campos, Heath Webb, Melissa Kelley and Chacity Strong; and her great grandchildren, Zachary Campos, Jordyn Webb, Abigail Webb, Stephen Kelley and Logan Kelley.

When the Coronavirus forced the closure of the Multigenerational Center, Lawanda began sewing fleece blankets at home to donate to the Animal Humane Society in Albuquerque.

In lieu of flowers, and in respect for Lawanda's deep and abiding love of animals, the family requests donations to your local Animal Humane Society.
