He was predeceased by: his parents, Mildred Small Allen Ries and Ward Phillips Allen. He is survived by: his wife Roxanne; his son Jesse; his daughter-in-law Irene; his grandchildren, Ryan of Rio Rancho and Genevieve of Rio Rancho; and his sisters, Judy Charlick of Cleveland, Jeannie Allen of Albuquerque and Deborah Allen of Cambridge.
He faced his more than two decades of living with Parkinson's Disease with humor and courage, refusing to let it define him as a person.
