It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Katie Contreras of Albuquerque, New Mexico, born in Mountainair, New Mexico, who passed away on June 30, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Lalo Contreras; her mother Jossie Velasquez; and her brother Chris Velasquez. She is survived by: her children, Irene Luna (John), LuAnn Contreras (Manny) and Jesse Contreras (Joseph Valdez); and her sister Carmen Padilla. She is also survived by six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren.
