As Kathy Joy departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Kathy Joy. Though Kathy Joy may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Patriciano Benavidez (Pat) and Emma Benavidez; her husband Danny Tate; her sisters, Delia Chavez and Ella Salazar; and her sons, Frankie Alderete and Jerry Alderete.
She is survived by: her brothers, Pete (Hilda Benavidez) and Gilbert (Jean Benavidez); and her children, Elfigo "Al" Alderete, Annette, Billy Shanahan and Angel Lucero. She is also survived by 15 grandkids, 35 great grandkids and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
