He was predeceased by: his parents, Julian Padilla Sr. and Susana Padilla; and his brothers, Sylvestre Padilla, Clemente Padilla and Pablo Padilla.

He is survived by: his siblings, Clara Padilla-Andrews, Grace Padilla, Demecia Csanyi, Bernadette Padilla and Rafael Padilla; his wife Anita R. Padilla; his children, Janet R. Padilla (Paul Lucero), Julian Padilla III (Cara Padilla), Maria I. Padilla (Christopher Tafoya) and Christina Padilla-Valencia (Christopher Valencia); his grandchildren, LouAnne Padilla, Kennie Lynn Padilla, Dylan Paul Lucero, Katie Valencia, Julian Padilla IV (Alyssa Padilla), Dominic Felipe Lucero (Brianna Lucero), Isabella Christina Montoya, Anita Marie Padilla, Alejandro Tafoya, Jose Padilla-Lopez and Kobe Valencia; and his great grandchild Kara Marie Atwood.
