She was predeceased by: her parents, John Shaw and Trinidad Shaw; her brothers, Frank Sr. and John Shaw; and her daughter Juanita Saavedra.

She is survived by: her husband Chris Saavedra; her granddaughters, Val, Mandy, Klena and Marisa; her daughter-in-law Martha; her children, Geraldine Herrera (Joe Herrera), Loretta Gonzales (Ron Gonzales), Chris Saavedra Jr. (Pauline Saavedra), Manuel Saavedra (Martha Kelly) and Christine Gutierrez; her sister Lilliam Mendoza; her grandsons, Isacc Gutierrez, Jacob Gonzales, Jeremy Saavedra and Christopher Saavedra; her great grandchild Pablo Aragon Herrera; her godson Marcelino F. Saavedra, Jr. (Honorary Pallbearers); and her great grandchild Marciano Gonzales. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

They say Alzheimer's is the long goodbye, yet there was nothing good about it.
