It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Johnny Benavidez of Albuquerque, New Mexico, who passed away on December 24, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Faustino Benavidez and Carrie Sanchez-Benavidez. He is survived by: his wife Sophie Benavidez; his children, Jennie Duran (Benjamin Duran Jr.), Joe Benavidez (Clarissa Gallegos), Angel Benavidez, Ruby Benavidez (Augustine Rodriguez) and Destinee Benavidez; his grandchildren, Adam Duran (Ashley), Sylvia Jaramillo (Mario), Jodeci Benavidez, Diona Benavidez, Joey Benavidez, Journee Benavidez, Princess, Enrique Rodriguez, Sam Rodriguez, Alejandro Rodriguez, Jonathon Lujan and Joshua Lujan; his great grandchildren, Jaelen Johnson, Isabel Jaramillo, Kanon Duran and Baby Reign Duran; his siblings, Orlando Benavidez, Carmen, Edmundo Benavidez (Antonia) and Ben Benavidez (Dolores); and his sister-in-law Donna Benavidez. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Due to COVID-19 mandates, the rosary is restricted to the immediate family that can remain in the chapel during the Rosary.
