He was predeceased by: his parents, Marjo Christie (Davis) and Cephus Christie; his stepfather Howard Davis (Robert Christie); his brother Robert Christie (Howard Davis); and his sister-in-law Blossum Christie.
He is survived by: his wife Stephanie; and his children, Mike (Shawn), Traci Pepper, Cephus (Melissa), Katherine Henson (Jesse), Neal and Joe Jr. (Brandi). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
