It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jody Mares (Albuquerque, New Mexico), who passed away on May 6, 2020, at the age of 49, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Julia Czerwonka; his sister Janea Czerwonka; and his grandparents, Sam, Josephine Mares and Candido Martinez.
He is survived by: his father Julian Mares (Mary Ristaino); his husband Richard Loza-Mares; his son Johnathan Mares (Johno); his stepfather Marvin Czerwonka; his grandmother Betty Norris (Randy); his godparents, Louie and Helen Montoya; and his siblings, Joella Michael (David), Jerome, Jenessa Lopez, Jolena (Mykal Anthony Gallegos), Juliana Mares Juliet (Abriella) and Jeanette Jayla (Jude Contreras). He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
