He was loved and cherished by many people including: his son Anthony; his daughter-in-law Victoria Mestas; his daughter Julie; his sons-in-law, Richard Mirabal and Brian Thompson; his grandchildren, Kylee Mestas-Chavez, Landon, Leland Thompson, Cassidy and Ryan Gettler; his godsons, David Mestas and Jason Martinez; his siblings, Ida Ford, Kathy (Zeke Gonzales), Sonny (Gloria Mestas), Shirley (Wayne Woody), Joe (Jeannie Mestas), Patricia (Eloy Sena), Marleen (Ted Martinez), Colleen Benavidez-Mestas and Mark Mestas (Tina); his siblings-in-law, Marie Martinez, Jerry Martinez, Frederick Martinez, Ken Rey, Joseph Martinez and Robert Martinez; his parents, Samuel Mestas and Louise Mestas; his parents-in-law, Tony and Josie Zamora; his daughter Yvonne Thompson; his brother-in-law Ross Ford; his nephew Samuel Mestas; and his sisters-in-law, JoAnne Mestas and Kathy Martinez. He was also cherished by many cousins, nephews, nieces, friends.
