He was predeceased by: his mother Mary Jane; his stepfather Jake Ortega; his father Roy Gutierrez; and his brothers, Alex Lujan, Sam Aguilar, Kenny, Jimmy Ortega and Bill Byers (Williams).

He is survived by: his girlfriend Yvonne Byers-Hults (Puppet); his daughter Malinda Castillo (Boogie); his grandchildren, Ashley Contreras, Louis, Victor (David Castillo) and Andrew Chairez (Joshua Hults); his great grandchildren, Anthony, Tyler, Mathew, Alaya, Gina Hults, Little Williams and Mona Lisa Byers; and his pet Bella Boo.

Cremation will take place after private services and a Celebration of Life Will Be Held At A Later Date Due to the Corona Virus.
