He was predeceased by: his parents, Garner Young and Elizabeth Young. He is survived by: his significant other Kathy Lydic Young of Albuquerque; his brother Stephen Young (Lydia); his sons, Trevor and Ethan; and also Jeff. He is also survived by cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Due to Covid restrictions in New Mexico, his funeral will be livestreamed on February 6, 2021 at 10:00 am.
