It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Javier Martinez-Lara (Albuquerque, New Mexico), who passed away on April 3, 2025, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Benito Martínez Ceniceros and Soledad Lara of Martínez. He is survived by: his wife Ana Luisa Martínez; his children, Viridiana Martínez and Speaker of the House Javier Martínez; his daughter-in-law Diana V. Martínez; and his grandchildren, Daryana, Marisela, Camilo, Dariela and Darissa.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Strong Thorne Mortuary (1100 Coal Ave SE, Albuquerque, NM 87106). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Holy Rosary Church (5415 Fortuna Rd NW, Albuquerque, NM 87105).
