She was predeceased by: her parents, Eduardo Cardenas and Consuelo Cardenas; her husband Ray Montes; her son Robert Marquez; and her sisters, Mary Louise Layton and Lupe Garcia.
She is survived by: her children, Laura Hernandez, Pamela Marquez, Nikki Montes of Albuquerque, NM and Joseph Marquez of San Antonio, TX.; and her siblings, Gus Cardenas of Taylors, Eduardo Cardenas of Los Angeles, CA, Ted Cardenas, Patricia Stanton, Christina Chavez and Elena Diaz of Albuquerque, NM.. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren + 2 on the way; and 4 great, great grandchildren.
