She was predeceased by: her husband Fermin V. Chavez; her son Johnny Chavez; her parent Amalia Pargas Gonzales (Bagama); her grandmother Estefana Alvarez (Maqua); her aunt Maria Briggs; her grandsons, Anthony Torres (AJ) and Nathaniel Lee Valenzuela; and her siblings, Gilbert Gonzales and Eva.
She is survived by: her children, Thelma and Ivan Chavez; her grandchildren, Sandra Chavez, Tanya (Jesse), Sara Lopez, Johnna (Brandon) and Chad Marrah; her siblings, Peter, Tommy and Tina; her sister-in-law Dora; her grandsons, Dain Finn, Jesse Barger and Brandon Deinlein; and her great grandchildren, Michael Valenzuela and Julian Romero. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
