Ernesto Montano Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ernesto Montano of Albuquerque, New Mexico, born in Anton Chico, New Mexico, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 21, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Dario and Antonia Montano; and his brothers, Manuel, Juan and Carlos Montano.
He is survived by: his significant other Anita Romero; his children, Brian Montano (Anabelle), Yvonne Segovia (Henry) and Janet Serna (Doug); and his grandchildren, Randy Vigil (Cecilia), Shamaine Griego (Robert), Celina Griego (Brandon), Tomas Segovia (Aniqa), Sam Segovia and Ava Montano. He is also survived by his eleven great-grandchildren and many nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 27th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery (5415 Fortuna Rd NW, Albuquerque, NM 87105). A rosary was held on Sunday, April 27th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A reception was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Moose Lodge (2121 Edith Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87102). A burial was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery (5415 Fortuna Rd NW, Albuquerque, NM 87105).
