He is survived by: his parents, Orlando Chavez and Lorraine Chavez; his sister Cynthia Chavez; his daughter Xiola Chavez (John Martinez); his grandmother Mary Alire; his aunts, Barbara Garcia (Charles), Joanne Anaya, Esperanza Montoya (Ernie) and Dorothy Borden; and his uncle Dennis Chavez. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins.
