He was predeceased by: his parents, Ethel V. Peters and Oliver W. Peters; his sons, Donald Jr. and Dennell Peters; and his sisters, Barbara Culclasure and Olive Miller.

He is survived by: his children, Tambra Peters of Parkesburg, PA, Delonn Jennings (Robert) of Christana, PA, Brett Peters of Lancaster, PA, Kevin Ewing of Honeybrook, PA and Howard Ewing of Parkesburg, PA.; and his siblings, Brenda Gagliardi of Wilmington, DE and George Miller of Matthew. He is also survived by forty-one grandchildren; ninety-two great grandchildren and fifteen great-great grandchildren.
