He was predeceased by: his wife Katherine Lambros; his son David Cox; his parents, Lonnie Cox and Ferby Cox of Bosque Farms; and his brothers, Roland Cox, Wayne Cox and Leon Cox.

He is survived by: his daughter Yolanda Tucker (Patrick); his grandchildren, Christina Taylor (Lewis), Anna Allred Shipp (Ethan), Emily Abbott (Mark) and Matthew Tucker (Elisha); his great grandchildren, Ashley, Austin, Katie, Natalie, Mackenzie Taylor, Monica, Leah, Jillian, Cody Allred, Julie, Jonah Abbott and Naomi Tucker; and his brother Gerald Lee Cox.
