David Lawrence Walker Obituary

David Walker, 7/20/37-12/16/21, was born in Mineral Wells, TX then raised on a ranch working hard for the family near Hereford Texas. After college - and he would not let you forget, playing football - at OU, he went on to become an entrepreneur owning several businesses, and in retirement a chivalrous handyman. Dave’s favorite past times were never missing an OU football game, golfing, an occasional ski trip, as well as jeeping and fishing in Lake City, CO. However, nothing quite matched his love for golf.

Dave has now graduated to the much anticipated Infinity Golf Course in Heaven - we have been told by sources he teed off within only 5 minutes of getting there, and nothing will ever interrupt his OU games again.

Dave always made sure he was living life to the fullest, seeking the next business venture, golfing with his friends, helping others with their repairs, and sharing jokes with everyone.

After falling ill, he still played the occasional golf game, fished, and even climbed on roofs to help his friends and the church.

Dave will be remembered for his sense of humor, his smile, and his hard work ethic. He is survived by his beloved graphite Ping golf clubs, as well has his brother, AJ (Scooter) Walker, Jr. (Linda). sister, Ettie Walker Crutchfield, son, Jerry Walker (Kyla), daughter, Mickey Nelson (John), and grandchildren: Candice, Trevor, Ilyssa, Blair, Triton, and Samuel, and several nieces and nephews.

Dave was cremated and his ashes will be released in a beautiful area near Lake City, CO.
