It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Dakota Valencia of Albuquerque, New Mexico, who passed away on January 31, 2021, at the age of 22, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his parents, Theresa Valencia and Richard Abeyta Jr.; and his brothers, Derek Valencia and Laurence Abeyta. He is also survived by his grandparents, aunts, uncles, numerous first and second cousins, one nephew and countless friends.

Due to COVID concerns, a memorial will be scheduled at a later date.

Dakota's family would like to say Thank You to the doctors and nurses at Presbyterian Rust Medical Center for their compassionate care of Dakota and to our family and friends that have reached out with generous donations, prayers, phone calls and messages.
