She was predeceased by: her parents, Pete Arellano and Rosa Arellano; her husband Juan Martinez; her brothers, Rudy Arellano and Bern Arellano; and her son-in-law Matthew Chavez.

She is survived by: her children, Carol Montoya (Mark), Mike Martinez (Tammy), Jean Chavez and Jan Martinez; her son-in-law John Case; her grandchildren, Mark, Katrina Montoya, Cyrus Owens, Amanda Martinez, Felicia Chavez, Jennifer Chavez, Johnny and Joshua Case; and her sister Mary Sanchez.
