Betty (McCord) Zamora Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty (McCord) Zamora of Albuquerque, New Mexico, born in Sloan, Iowa, who passed away on January 29, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy McCord and Pearl McCord (Willett); her brother Harold "Mac"; her husband Frank Zamora; her daughter Rhonda Johnston; and her siblings, Lucy, Evelyn, Lee and John.

She is survived by: her former husband Steven "Bud" Mareau; her children, Cheryl Eliason (Albert), Mike Mareau (Michele), Linda Nordstrom, Pamela Dailey, Brian Mareau (Katie), Teresa Gillespie (Jerry) and Polly Shuck; her grandchildren, Christine Nordstrom, Jason Black, Chad Nordstrom, Aaron Mareau, Colby Eliason, Sara Tcheshia, Jeremiah Shuck, Andrew Eliason, Jennifer Miller, Lindsay Mareau, Joey Dailey, Ryan Mareau, Laura Dailey, Katie Shuck, Kalyn Haafke, Kaycee Stevens, Jacquelyn Mareau and Landen Mareau; her sisters, Helen Martin of Sloan and Mary Smith of Rogers, Arkansas; and her sister-in-law Irene McCord of Onawa, Iowa. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

A Funeral Mass will be 10:30 A. M. Monday, February 8, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Salix Iowa with Father Michael Erpelding officiating. (Social distancing measures must be followed- Due to Covid-19 restrictions- Masks are required for the visitation and service.).
