She was predeceased by: her husband Julian Alderete; her parents, Justiniano Gomez and Genoveva Gomez; and her siblings, Dina Echor, Isabel Pineda and Emiterio Gomez.
She is survived by: her children, Leroy Alderete (Josie), Virginia Chaves (James), Jeanette Smith, Alan Jay Alderete and James Alderete (Anitra); her grandchildren, David Candelaria, Melissa Rivera, Mario Chaves, Gian Chaves, Jessica Lopez, Christopher Chaves, Julian Alderete, Jacob Alderete, James Aguilar, Joseph Alderete, Genevieve Alderete and Miranda Alderete; and her siblings, Deluvina Valdez, John Gomez and Robert "Bob" Gomez. She is also survived by twenty-three great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.
