Basilisa Sanchez Calderon Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 9, 2024, at the age of 88, Basilisa Sanchez Calderon (Albuquerque, New Mexico), born in Terlingua, Texas passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Basilisa Sanchez Calderon to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her husband Hilario Calderon; her son Samuelito Calderon (Alicia); and her parents, Vicente Sanchez and Manuela Ramirez Sanchez. She is survived by: her children, Amalia Chavez, Grace Estrada, Oscar Calderon and Gabriel Calderon (Edwina); and her siblings, Prajedes Aguirre, Angelino Sanchez, Ruben Sanchez, Dolores Sanchez, Flora Lopez, Maria Maestas and Salvador Sanchez. She is also survived by grandmother, great-grandmother, and even a great-great-grandmother.
Viewing was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the St. Therese Catholic Church (3424 4th St NW, Albuquerque, NM 87107). A rosary was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the Mount Calvary Cemetery (1900 Edith Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87102).
In lieu of flowers, it was Basilisa's wish that donations be made to St. Therese Catholic Church, in her memory.
