She was predeceased by: her parents, Adan Chavez and Portana Chavez; her husband John H. Fernandez; and her siblings, Elizabeth Marquez, Tomasita Baca and Anastacio Chavez.
She is survived by: her children, Christina Anderson Sanchez (David Sanchez), Juan Fernandez (Rose Fernandez) and Stephanie. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren.
A rosary will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church (9502 4th St NW, Albuquerque, NM 87114). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery (1900 Edith Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87107).
