It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Amelia Chavez (Albuquerque, New Mexico), who passed away on August 7, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jose Garcia and Angelita Garcia; her husbands, Richard Chavez and Epifanio Griego; her son Jose Griego; her grandson Jeremy Montoya; and her siblings, Juanita, Josephine, Irene, Maria Blasa, Julian, Juan and Miguel.
She is survived by: her children, Jesse Griego (Linda), Anthony Griego (Claudette), Henry Griego (Ester), Pandora Montoya (Rocky), Alvira Garcia (Antonio) and Carmen Chavez; and her grandsons, Jose Griego Jr., Roman Griego, Anthony Griego, John Armijo, Michael Armijo, Andrew Chavez and Paul Montoya. She is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren.
